Hi Norah,
The sum of all the angles in any triangle is 180 °. Also a right angle has a measure of 90°.
For this problem, we can write and solve the following equation for x (which would represent the measure of the missing angle):
90° + 46° + x = 180°
136° + x = 180°
136° + x - 136° = 180° - 136°
x = 44°
The missing angle would be 44°
