find the arc length of the partial circle

it is a quarter of a circle(like a pizza slice) and it has an 8 for the radius but it is asking for the curved part of the circle. we have to use 3.14 to find the unit of the part of the circle

Just find the circumference and divide by 4

C=2pi(r) = 2(3.14)8) = 16pi

C/4 = 4pi = 4(3.14).

= 12.56 inches

Or, do the arc length formula, L=radius x radians

arc length = the radius times the angle, measured in radians

L =8pi/2 1/4 circle means 90 degrees or pi/2 radians

=4pi = 4(3.14) = 12.56 inches

Guess I'm just guessing on the inches, but it's not feet, meters or yards. For pizza slices inches seems like the most appropriate unit of measure. cm seems to small.
