This is a basic plug and chug problem.
For part A, you have 2a-7, where a = 3. Wherever you see the letter "a" you replace it with the value given which in this case is 3.
Solve problem: 2(3) - 7 = 6 -7 = -1
answer = -1
Part B.
Solve problem: 10+4m , where m = -2
10+4(-2) = 10 +-8 = 2
answer = 2
Part C.
Solve problem: 9+(-2n), where n = 4
9+(-2(4)) = 9+-8 = 1
answer = 1
Part D.
Solve problem: x/2+5, where x = 6
6/2+5 = 3+5 = 8
answer = 8
