Algebra 1 - Comparing two graphs (Also related to my previous question but it doesn't matter)
Compare the graphs of these two equations:
- f(x) = 2x
- f(x) = 2.5x

- Both graphs are straight lines, of the general form y = mx + b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
-
b = 0 for both graphs, so they both cross the y-axis at y = 0
- The graphs have different slopes. The graph with slope m = 2.5 is steeper than the graph with slope m = 2
