Hey can someone help, this is a true or false

The line x=-1 and passes through (3,-4) is perpendicular to y=1x-4

Is the line "x=-1" written correctly? That is just a point. Are you saying that there is a line with -1 slope that goes through point (3, -4)?

Agreed, x = -1 is a vertical line parallel to the y axis all the coordinate pairs associated with it have an x coordinate of negative one. Can't see how is passes through (3,-4) is that typed correctly it would pass through (-1,-4). You can graph your lines at Desmos.com to see if they are parallel. Also check out the rules for vertical and horizontal lines. Vertical lines have an undefined slope, or no slope. Only a horizontal line is perpendicular to a vertical one. y = x - 4 is not a horizontal line.
