After applying the slope, what is another point on the line y = x - 2?

slope = 1, the coefficient of the x term when the equation is solved for y

-2 is the y intercept or the point (0,-2)

another point on the graph is the x intercept

0=x -2 or x=2, the point (2,0)

but there are endless other points on the line. the other points in Quadrant IV are all between the two intercepts such as (1,-1), the midpoint between the two intercepts

the other points are all in quadrants I and III. where all x and y coordinates have the same sign, either both negative or both positive. None in quadrant II
