Because there were 10 adults and 5 students, we can multiply our expression for students by 5 and the expression for adults by 10 and write and solve the following cost equation:
5s + 10(3s) = 525
5s + 30s = 525
35s = 525
35s/35 = 525/35
s =$15
The cost of a student lesson is $15 . The cost of an adult lesson will be 3 times that or 3 * 15 = $45
