Why is the dissolving of aluminum nitrate in water considered both a physical and chemical process?

It can be considered a physical change because it is reversible and you can recover the original aluminum nitrate it you simply evaporate the water.

It can be considered a chemical change because once the solid is dissolved, it has been changed into the component ions (Al³⁺ and NO₃^-) each of which is surrounded by H₂O molecules. So, one might consider that the chemical nature of the aluminum nitrate has now been changed.
