50 = L+W
L = 50-W
A=LW = 616 = (50-W)W = 50W -W^2
W^2 -50W = -616
(W-25)^2 = 616 + 625 = 9
W-25 = 9 cm
W = 34
L = 50-34 = 16 cm

This is incorrect, if you multiply 15 and 34 you get 544, no hate to your work, I used it to help me with mine, but the correct answer is width = 22 and length = 28. well done though, gotta always check
