asked 03/21/21I would greatly appreciate if someone could please help me with this geometry problem. I've been struggling with it for a while now.

Triangle ABC has vertices A(2,4), B(6,1), and C(-1,0). DE is a midsegment of △ABC. Find the coordinates of D and E.

A midsegment connects the midpoints of two sides of a triangle. Use the midpoint formula to find the coordinates of the midpoint of a side with endpoints (x1,y1) and (x2,y2):
Midpoint = ( (x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2 )
For instance, if point D is the midpoint of line AB:
D = ( (2+6)/2, (4+1)/2 ) = (4, 2.5)
You can find point E.

HI Jesset, a midsegment connects the midpoints of two sides of a triangle. So you have 3 possible pairs of midpoints, since the triangle has three sides. You decide! You know how to find the midpoint of a side, right? Its coordinates are just the average of the coordinates of the two vertices (take x and y coordinates separately, please!)
