-X = 32-46 = -14

X = 14 years old = Artaud's age

that assumes by "opposite of his age" you mean change its sign from + to negative

sometimes people mean by that to switch the digits, such as change 41 to 14, but if you try that

XY switched to YX+46 = 32 you get a negative age, of YX = -14 and switch it to get XY= -41 which doesn't really seem to make any sense
