Find the value of two exponents multiplied and a bit in between

Find the value of (64x⁴)^0.5× 4x^-2.

I thought you would just multiplied the powers and then multiplied the x² terms but apparently is 32?? Any help would be greatly appreciated :).

64x^4 to the one half power is the same as the square root of 64x^4 = 8x^2

8x^2 times 4/x^2 = 32

or (x^4)^.5 = x^2. x^2 times x^-2 = x^(2-2) = x^0. anything to the zero power =1

then you're left with 64^.5 times 4. that's the square root of 64 or 8 times 4 =32
