Stephanie and Alina are psychologists. Stephanie charges an initial fee of $50 and then $30 per hour. Alina charges an initial fee of $20 and then $40 per hour. Determine how long it takes in hours for both psychologists to make the same amount algebraically.

Stephanie's charges will be 50 + 30x and Alina's charges will be 20 + 40

want to know when their initial fee + hourly rates will be equal

20 + 40x = 50 + 30x

10x = 30

x = 3 hours
