perpendicular lines have slopes that are the negative inverse.
y=4x-10 has slope = 4. the negative inverse is -1/4
y=(-1/4)x + b where b= y intercept, calculated by plugging in the point (2,-5)
-5 = (-1/4)(2) + b
b = -5 + 1/2 = -9/2
y = (-1/4)x - 9/2 or
4y=-x- 18 or
x+4y = -18 is the perpendicular line through the given point (2,-5)
