T = 17/2 = 8.5 treadmills

S = 26.5 stationary bikes

which doesn't really make sense to have a fraction of a bike

odds are the 8 should have been 9 or the 25 should have been 26

the total and the difference should involve either 2 even or 2 odd numbers, then you get an integer solution

S + T = Z

S - T =W add the two equations to get

2S = Z+W

S = (Z+W)//2 to get an integer Z and W must both be even or both be odd, not an 8 and 25
