By definition of bisect, AE = CE and BE = DE.

AEB and CED are vertical angles and thus equal.

Triangles ABE and CDE are thus congruent by SAS (side angle side)

Angles ABE and CDE are congruent by congruent parts of congruent triangles (CPCTE)

AB parallel to CD because ABE and EDC are equal alternate interior angles.
