Standard form is the following: Ax+By=C, where A,B, and C are integers.
Step 1: Multiply both sides of the equation by 4.
4*(y+2=1/4(x-4))---> 4y+8=x-4
Step 2: Bring the x to the left hand side and the 8 to the right hand side.
-x+4y=-12
Step 3: Multiply both sides by -1 to remove the negative sign from the x.
x-4y=12.
Therefore, in this case, we have A=1, B=-4 and C=12.
