Typically slope-intercept form is y = mx + b. However, a vertical line has an undefined slope. Vertical lines also don't have a y-intercept because they are parallel to the y-axis. Subsequently, the formula for a vertical line is x = x1. Since we were told the line passes through (2,-6), the equation of the line would be x = 2.
