a. If each set can be produced for $28.20, how many sets must be sold for the executive to break even?

b. How many sets must be sold for the executive to make a profit?

a.  105,000 - (45-28.20)x = 0

 

105,000-16.80x=0

 

-16.80x = -105,000

 

x = 6250

 

b.  105,000 - (45-28.20)x > 0

x>6250
