(5-7/12t)k = 8t
k = 8t/(5-7/12t)
you could stop here, or try to "simplify" by removing the double division, reduce it to just one fraction
= 8t/[(60t-7)/12t]
= 8t(12t)/(60t-7) = 96t^2/(60t-7)
check the answer
5k =7k/12t + 8t
5(96t^2)/(60t-7) =7(96t^2/(60t-7)/12t + 8t
480t^2/(60t-7) =56t/(60t-7) /12t + 8t((60t-7)/(60t-7)
