GCF is 3x2. Taking the GCF 3x2 out:
3x2(x2+x-6)
-6 can be factored as 3 * -2. The sum of the factors is 3+(-2) = 1 = coefficient of the 'x' term in 'x2+x-6'.
3x2(x2+x-6)
= 3x2(x2+3x-2x-2*3)
GCF of x2 and 3x is x and GCF of -2x and -6 is -2.
= 3x2(x(x+3)-2(x+3))
GCF of x(x+3) and -2(x+3) is (x+3).
= 3x2(x+3)(x-2)
3x4+3x3-18x2 = 3x2(x+3)(x-2)
