for (x+5)/(2x-5) the expression is undefined when 2x-5 = 0 or when x = 5/2
that makes the denominator =0. Division by zero makes the expression undefined
IF by chance, the expression was x + (5/2x) - 5 then x=0 makes the expression undefined. Odds are though that there were implicit parentheses making the expression (x+5)/(2x-5)
