40 is 10 from 30, 10/25 = 2/5

15 is 15 from 30, 15/25 = 3/5

2/5 to 3/5 = 2 to 3

so you need liters in a ratio of 2:3 with 10 liters total. 2/5 of 10 = 4 liters, 3/5 of 10 = 6 liters
