the graph of x^2 + y^2 = 16 has the following transformation applied to it. a vertical expansion by a factor of 3, then reflected in the y-axis. determine the equation of the new graph

the initial equation is a circle with the center at the origin and a radius of 4

If you are only doing a vertical expansion of 3 then you turn this into an ellipse with the major axis being vertical (4x3=12)and no change in the x or minor axis

so now in elipse form you have

(x^2/16)+ (y^2/144) = 1

since this already symetric around the y axis rotating it around the Y axis will not change anything
