Hello Emma,
First have many grams of Zinc are in 1 mole of Zinc?
1 mole Zn= 65.38grams Zn
So we start with
354g Zn x 1 mol Zn/ 65.38 g Zn = 5.41 moles Zn
So now we have # of moles how do we get to # of atoms?
We use our fabulous avogadros #!!!! 6.022*10^23 atoms = 1 mole of anything
5.41 moles Zn * 6.022*10^23 atoms Zn / 1 mole Zn=
3.26 * 10^24 atoms of Zn
Please let me know if you need anything else or more help explaining this problem!!

Now try another one like this. How many carbon atoms are contained in 210 grams of carbon?02/09/21
