To reflect in the y-axis, replace x by -x.
y = 6(-x)8 - 3(-x)7 + 5
Simplify to get y = 6x8 + 3x7 + 5

Reflection across the y-axis means to plug in "-x" into your equation. The only thing that changes is the "-3x7" since raising "-x" to an odd power will result in a negative (and combined with the "-3" that is already there results in a positive).
So the new equation is y = 6x8 + 3x7 + 5
