If the following relation is a function, which ordered pair could be the missing point? {(-4, 3), (5, -1), (0, 2), (x, y)}
(5, 7)
(-4, 0)
(0, -6)
(1, -3)
The definition of the function is every input should have exactly one output. (meaning x value should not repeat) in the ordered pair given the x values are -4, 5, 0 therefore we can not pick an ordered pair with those x values.
(1,-3) will be the answer for the problem since x values can not repeat in order for it to be a function.
