Graph the two lines. The solution is the point where the lines cross. Read the (x,y) coordinates of that point from the graph.
To graph each line, all you need is two points. Plug in any x value, such as x = 1, and use the equation to find the y-value. Plot that point on the coordinate plane. Repeat for another x value, such as x = -2. Once you have two points use a straight edge to carefully draw a line through the points. Extend the line beyond the points. Now do the same for the other line.
