The blueprint is the paper plan for an actual house. The dimensions on the paper are going to be obviously smaller than the actual house. In this case, every inch on the paper represents 6 feet in the actual house.

So if the actual house has a wall that is 6ft, on paper it will be drawn with a line 1 inch long.

For this question, the dimensions of the actual room are 18 by 24. How many times does 6 go into 18? That is how many inches are on the blueprint...so 3 inches, because 18/6=3. You can do the math on the 24ft section to find the _____ below.
