The equation of the given line is written in slope intercept form , y= mx +c, where m is the slope and c is the y intercept. so for y= 2x - 7 , m1 = 2
let us assume m2 is the slope of perpendicular line
m1* m2 = -1
2* m2 = -1 dividing both sides by 2
m2= -1/2
the point - slope form is y -y1 = m ( x - x 1) where m is the slope of the line and x1,y1 any point in the line
y - 10 =( - 1/2) (x + 3)
