HI Jordan
the equation of the line is y = mx + b. b is your y intercept. so when 0 is zero, y is -2
Let's say (0,-2) is (x,y)
and
(5,1) is (x1, y1)
The equation of the line is also written y - y1 = m (x - x1)
solve for m (m is your slope)
-2 - 1 = m (0 - 5)
-3 = -5m
3/5 = m
Now go back to y = mx + b and plug in "m" and "b" to get your equation
y = (3/5)m- 2
let me know if any questions.
