Hi Armani P
Parallel lines have exactly the same slope
Perpendicular lines have inverse slopes with opposite signs, for example
If the slope m of a given line is 3/4 a line perpendicular to it would have a slope of -4/3
You want to put your given line in Slope Intercept Form by solving for y
Line a
3y = -x + 6
Divide both sides by 3
y = -(1/3)x + 2 this is Line a in Slope Intercept Form
Your slope m for Line a; is -(1/3)
Put Line b into Slope Intercept form and compare it to Line a
Give it a try
