the slope = "rise over run" or the change in y coordinates divided by the corresponding change in x coordinates
slope = m = (2--4)/(-3--5) = 6/2 = 3
general equation is
y=mx + b
y=3x + b where b is the y intercept. plug in either point to calculate b
2 = 3(-3) + b
b = 2+9 = 11
y=3x + 11 is the line through the 2 points, in slope intercept form
