general equation for a circle is
(x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = r^2 where (h,k) is the center and r = radius
if (-2,-4) and (6,8) are the endpoints of the circle's diameter, their midpoint is the circle's center = (2,2)
average -2 and 6 = 4/2 = 2 and average of 8 and -4 = 4/2 = 2
the radius square = (-2-6)^2 + (-4-8)^2 = 64+ 144 = 208
the circle's equation is
(x-2)^2 + (y-2)^2 = 208
