Multiply all sides of the inequality by the LCD 4. You end up with
[4y - 6]/4 > [2 - 4y - 5]/4 =
[4y - 6]/4 > [-4y - 3]/4
Since the denominator on one side of the inequality is equal to the denominator on the other side of the inequality, we only need to work with the numerators.
4y - 6 > -4y - 3
8y > 3
y > 3/8
