The length of a rectangle is four less than twice the width. if the perimeter is 88, what are the dimensions of the rectangle? What is the equation used to solve this problem?

L=2W-4

88=2(L+W) = 2(2W-4+W) = 2(3W+-) = 6W-8

6W = 96

W = 96/6= 16

L= 2W-4 = 32-4=28

88 = 2(16+28) =2(44) =88
