Percentages are really ratios/fractions with denominators of 100. We can use equivalent ratios to determine what percent is represented as 32 out of 64:
32 = 1
64 2
Then 1/2 written as a percent is:
1 • 50 = x
2 • 50 100
x = 50
Therefore, the percentage of temporary employees is 50 %.
