I would direct the plow 30deg which-ever way. Still I don't think you'll change the horse's direction.
It's got at least 400lbs on you.
Get somebody to ride directing with reins while you're in the back.

asked 01/11/21I am trying to get my horse to pull a plow in a specific direction. But the horse only wants to pull in the direction of 30 degrees north of east. Therefore, I need to pull on another line to keep the plow moving in the intended direction. The horse pulls the plow with a force of 80 newtons, while I can pull with a force of 50 newtons.
a) What direction do I need to pull to keep the plow moving due east?
b) What direction do I need to pull to keep the plow moving 10 degrees south of east?
