Raymond and Thomas are the two top scorers on their soccer team. During the season Raymond has scored a quarter of goals and thomas the sixth of goals. In all they have scored 25 goals. How many goals has the team scored

R+T = 25

R = (3/2)T since 1/4 = 3/12 and 1/6 = 2/12 R is 3/2 times T

(3/2)T + T = 25

5/2 T = 25

T = 2/5 x 25 = 10

R = 15

15 = Teams score divided by 1/4

Team score = 60 points
