Gas mileage is the number of miles you can drive on a gallon of gasoline. A test of a new car results in 580 miles on 10 gallons of gas. How far could you drive on 55 gallons of gas? What is the car's gas mileage?

i got both 292900 miles and 58 miles per gallon i got 292900 by taking 580 dividing it by 2 since 55 isn't a number that nds with 0 and got 290 then mutiplyed 580 by 50 and got 29000 then added 290 from the five gallon to get 29290 and to get the cars gas mileage you would take 58 and divide it by 0 because it is easier and you would get 58 miles per gallon 580/2=290 580x50=29000 29000+290=29290 29290 for 55 gallons of gas 580/10=58 58 miles per gallon of gas I am not a perfetional at this but this is my interpretation of your problem -brookie01/08/21
