The area of a circle can be calculated using the formula you included in your problem.
We need to find the area of the green first. If the diameter is 100 feet, the radius will be half of that or 50 feet.
The the area will be:
A = 3.14 r2
A = 3.14 • 502
A = 3.14 • 2500
A= 7850 ft2
Since the coverage for the treatment is 3 oz for every 1000 ft2, it would take the following amount of treatment for 7850 ft 2:
3 oz = x oz
1000 ft2 7850 ft2
3 oz • 7.85 = x oz
1000 ft2 • 7.85 7850 ft2
x = 23.55 oz of treatment required
