How many 16mm ropes can I fit on a 38in pole??

So I'm making a tapestry and I was wondering what the equation would be for how many 16mm thick ropes would fit on a 38in pole. Well you can input any numbers I just need to know if there is an equation for this.

1 cm= 10 mm

38 inches = 38(2.54)10 mm = 965.2

965.2mm/16mm = 60.325 16mm thick ropes would fit on a 38 inch pole

UNLESS you meant wrapping the ropes around the pole, then you need more information

as to the radius of the pole or its circumference
