At first glance, it does look quite confusing!
Something that is useful is to set each fraction to the least common denominator. In this case, we can change all the denominators to 18 in the following fashion:
7/9 * 2/2 = 14/18
13/18 = 13/18
2/3 * 6/6 = 12/18
11/18 = 11/18
Note that we did not change any of the values, since we only multiplied each fraction by 1, since 2/2 and 6/6 both equal 1.
Now we see the pattern of 14/18, 13/18, 12/18, 11/18. Hopefully the pattern is now clear: The next fraction in the sequence is 1/18 smaller than the previous. As such, the answer is
