slope m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) so -10 = (2-(-3)) (-5 -r)
-10 = 5/(-5 -r) so -5-r = -0.5
r = -4.5
Subst to check :)

Hi Nick,
To solve for "r" you will have to use the slope formula and plug in values to solve for the missing variable. You can choose any point to be your x1, x2, y2, and y1 points as long as you are consistent when assigning them:
m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
-10 = (-3-2)/(r-(-5))
-10 = (-5)/ (r+5)
-10(r+5) = -5
-10r - 50 = -5
-10r = 45
r = - 45/10 = -9/2
I hope this helps!
