Using imaginary numbers (using i = √ (-1) ) we can solve this

x = ±±√ -11 = ±±√ 11 x -1 = ±√11 √-1 = ±i √11

First, the opposite of subtracting is adding, so you would add 18 to both sides. The 18 on the right would cancel, so on the right your left with -150 +18. When you have a positive and a negative you go off of which one is bigger, so it would be the 150, so you would subtract 150-18 which is 132, but because 150 is negative, it would be -132. Now you have 12x^2 and -132 left. The 12 is being multiplied by the x, so the opposite of that is to divide it. You would divide 12 on both sides, so -132/12 is -11. Now you’re left with the x^2 meaning you have to square root your final answer, so your answer would be (insert square root symbol) -11
