The nice thing about this question is that you just have to plug in the answer to the slope intercept form! Slope intercept form of a linear equation is y = mx+b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. In the question the y-intercept is given as -6, and the slope is 1, so when you use m = 1 and b = -6, the equation is:
y=1x+ (-6). However, you probably want to clean it up a little, because 1x is the same as x (since multiplying by 1 doesn’t change a value) and +(-6) is equal to just saying -6. So final answer is: y = x - 6.
