If the airline sells 581 tickets on night flights, how many unsold tickets can the airline expect on morning flights?

the total offered is 8/7 times 581 = 8(581/7) = 8(83) = 664 total offered for night & mornings.

3:5 ratio means 5/8 of the total offered go unsold (5/8)(8)(83) = 5(83)= 415 unsold morning tickets
