(-6,2) and (-4,-1) are the 2 points.
x1=-6
y1=2
x2=-4
y2=-1
First find the slope (m) which can be found with: m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
So m=(-1-2)/(-4- -6) = -3/2
m=-3/2
Now, using this formula: y-y1=m(x-x1)
y-2=(-3/2)(x- -6)
Now simplify by distributing (-3/2) and then adding -2 to the right side:
y=(-3/2x-9)+2
y=-3/2x-7
