slope intercept form y = mx + b, where m is slope, b is y-intercept. we need to find m and b.
since given slope y = -5/4x + b.
since line passes through 8,-6, we can substitute 8 for x and -6 for y in above equation and solve for b:
-6 = -5/4 (8) + b
-6 = -10 + b
4 = b
y = -5/4x + 4
