Anna is so excited to count the coins her Grandma gave her. Her Grandma knows she gave her 95 coins consisting of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. She also knows there are only 5 pennies and the total value of the coins is $12.05. Also, there are 5 more quarters than dimes. How many of each coin does Anna have?

Anna has 5 pennies

 

So remaining coins are 90 in number and the value is $12.00

 

Let there be d dimes, so there are d + 5 quarters and 90-d-(d+5) nickels

 

Value of these coins will be

10*d + 25*(d+5) + 5*(90-2d-5) = 1200

10d + 25d + 125 + 450 -10d -25 = 1200

25d + 550 = 1200

d = 26

 

So there are 26 dimes, 31 quarters and 33 nickels and 5 pennies

26*10 + 31*25 + 33*5 + 5*1 =  1205
